Maya

Apart from being a testament to the skills of artisans, saris mirror the multifaceted nature of womanhood. In the context of Maya, the differences in the drapes, age, race and ethnicity draws the aspect of multiplicity of Maya leading to the creation of vast array of appearances which distracts us from the underlying unity and interconnectedness of living. This series of images is an effort to highlight the influence of the qualities of nurturing, relational intelligence, matriarchal energy and heart centred leadership of the feminine on the divide that the cosmic trickery- the Maya causes.
